One of the great things I love about encaustic work is that it is always changeable. So I took an old painting on Stretch Canvas and refreshed it for 2023. I said in the video it is 10 or 15 years old, but it is older I think. Anyway, change is good, and if you are interested in ever trying out using molten wax on stretch canvas then these are my bits of experience that might prove useful.

All eyes on you.

I think I'm done now. As a snapshot of imagination grounded in our fast changing world, "All eyes on you" feels like a call to focus carefully on exactly what it is we are now creating. Each and every choice we are making and taking affects our future and perhaps one another's future too.
..I am glad I carried on with that original piece and found a way to evolve the image from a flowing emotion into a stronger focus. But if you saw the first stage, then do you think this development was worthwhile?

... so this was my best creation yesterday and suggested the blue supermoon vibe that was center stage earlier that morning. It is an A4 encaustic artwork. Now I'm pondering on resting it like it is, or developing it. I probably will find myself drawn to evolving a more detailed image - probably got to fiddle with it a bit more 🤔🙄😶

Kali's game

An experimental approach for me with Encaustic wax on watercolour paper that took a while to "figure out". A bit messy perhaps, but then that is Kali's game!
