Dig this, cool cats and rhythm rebels: 🎷🚬
We’re hosting a Tiny Gallery Jam Session tonight at DEIK on Sunday, June 7th. We’re kicking off with a set from the legendary jazz guitarist Erwin Beiersbergen, key master Bas Boon, bass boss Marwin Kirchhoffs and swing sultan Ate Kleijn. They will bring you a mix of jazz, bossa and funk. After that, the floor is open for a jam, so feel free to bring your instruments and beatnick buddies to join in. We'll have drinks and snacks ready, and donations are always welcome.

The final month of DEIK has arrived. After three and a half years of creativity, connection, and aesthetic delight, our journey is coming to an end. And of course, we won't let it pass without one last big celebration.

On June 26, we're pulling out all the stops for the very last Tiny Gallery Concert. Expect an evening packed with familiar faces, fresh talent, poetic storytellers, and wonderfully unexpected vocal performers.

Tipsy pottery workshop
Trinket pot making workshop, let’s have a drink and make an art piece for your home!

🕣10th & 17th of June (19:30-22:00)
🎟️ €50, includes all materials, kiln, drinks and snacks.

During this workshop we’re going to be making trinket pots. This workshop is going to be doable for everyone, if you have worked with clay before or haven’t. We’re going to be making a base during the first day and you can decorate and make it as colourful or detailed as you want to. During the second day of the workshop I will have fired the pieces and you can use glazes to decorate them. After the second firing feel free to stop by to pick-up your beautiful creation.

Film & Poetry - What the River Says: Rivierkreeften Edition
Visiting Sundance alumnus, indie filmmaker Zack Godshall wants to build a storytelling bridge between the Netherlands and Louisiana. For a flood-filled evening, he and his friend poet who lives in Delft, Vincent Cellucci, will creatively exchange stories exploring the environment and cultures of their homes and swamp psyches. Join us for an experimental two sets of poetry & short films to find out what the river says or maybe even document what the river says to you—

Natalia Uzieblo, art curator from Warsaw and Marialena Chasekidou, creative practitioner from Thessaloniki, invite you on a brief journey inward — where DEIK meets Nature, and emotion meets Water.

Ochakai tea workshop 🍵🍃
A quiet space to make a cup of Matcha.

🕣 May 9th (14:00–15:30)
🎟️ €30, includes all materials: Uji Matcha from Kyoto and a small Wagashi.

During this workshop, we make a cup of Matcha for one another. The workshop is rooted in the Urasenke school of tea ceremony, where the practice centres on attentiveness to the people around you. You’ll learn how to prepare Matcha, and what it feels like to make something carefully for someone you’ve just met.
No experience needed.
Wagashi are traditional Japanese sweets served before Matcha (Youkan, Wasanbon-tou, or Yatuhashi).
If you have a favourite bowl, feel free to bring it with you!
