Formed in 1977, THE NAMES gained immediate attention on the Brussels scene and from the local press. In 1979 the band recorded a first EP ‘Spectators of Life’ that attracted the interest of Manchester’s prominent label Factory Records starting a long and successful collaboration. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Factory Records, THE NAMES will perform a set of songs produced by Martin Hannet including ‘Nightshift’ ‘Calcutta’ as well as tracks from recordings with Factory Benelux/Les Disques Du Crepuscule.
