Today we visited this beautiful location in Delft in which we will have our first shows during the Delft Fringe Festival 2022.
The Stadsboerderij Rietveld is a very unique place that used to be a barn and is now a space shared between 4 families. We were warmly welcomed by Anneklaar, a nice cup of coffee and chickens running around. The farm spirit is still present and the garden very cosy, a perfect location to share our work with you! It’s also strategically situated in the center of the city, easy and practical for you to go around Delft or other performances before and after our show.

About the performance:
”Inspired by the age-old action of women washing clothes, the performance “Goddesses* dream when they bleed” explores the intimate relationship between two women who reclaim their bodies, power and space. Washing, carrying and twisting clothes until they become a weapon. In a space shaped by clotheslines and white sheets, two bodies dive into the physical heaviness of domestic labour evolving in a poetic landscape combining feminism, dance and scenography.”

Have you heard about the Platform Nexus crowdfunding campaign?

Nexus is a new artistic maker space in Weesp (NL), where young makers meet each other and work together. Nexus has already hosted part of the Anna&Goda research process and welcomed us with lots of generosity! Although we could already work in their dance studio, the space was very cold and lots of renovation work had to be done... That's why they are busy with a crowdfunding campaign for the further building of Nexus!

In order to be able to host artists and various events in the future, Platform Nexus needs your help and support! The space has lots of potential, it's an amazing warehouse with passionate people ready to work hard in order to make it the most supportive and inspiring maker space.

10 days ago we had the opportunity to show a spontaneous work during the Top Floor Festival organised at asbl L'Accroche in Brussels.

“Motherhood” is an improvisation around Sheila Heti’s words (from her book under the same name), that took place in the form of a lecture/performance.

Being physically apart (Goda in Lithuania, Annabel in Brussels), this was a great opportunity to still present ourselves, our work and be vulnerable together.

On Saturday we were lucky to present an extract of our current research work “Goddesses* dream when they bleed” at Goethe-Institut Niederlande during an event organised and curated by Irene Sorozabal Moreno .

About the work :

Through the heaviness of labour work and a funny, touching sister-like complicity, we create an immersive invitation to dream, to laugh, to cry, to sit and be.

A celebration of femininity with moments of reclaiming, connecting, supporting, playing, laughing, crying, screaming, fighting, carrying, protecting, exposing, surrendering, listening.

We question the intelligence of the wombs, the invisible link that connects us, the acceptance of the source of life we carry, the loud laughters that can emerge from celebrating these energies.

A very intimate look into the relation of two women, that transforms through different qualities and images, reminding of the bond between sisters, friends, lovers, mother-daughter, enemies etc.
