We got back with an empty wallet, but a suitcase full of knowledge and contacts. Our Live demo changed many sceptics into believers and they provided us with invaluable feedback.

The road to game release is filled with hazards and hurdles. Our developer Hazar constantly has to make a step back in order to make two steps forward, but it's rewarding to see how far we've come. Just a few more months until we will launch our first game: WinGo!

Er komen meer goede doelen-loterijen in ons land. Dat is het gevolg van een vergunningsprocedure die de Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) start voor het bedrijf Lottovate. De toezichthouder geeft daarmee gehoor aan een uitspraak van de rechtbank Amsterdam.

While the Dutch parliament is discussing how to legalize gambling in the Netherlands, many providers are occupying the market illegally. The Dutch Gambling Authority wants to ban the apps of these illegal providers. The reasons, among others: No player protection and No tax income.

M. van Koolwijk advices Dutch players to get their funds from their accounts as they could not be accessible anymore from the apps at any time now.

Illegal providers of gambling make it tough for prospect providers that want to get on the market once it's legal. Prospect providers have a disadvantage as the players can get used to the illegal product. Guess what our stand is on this matter... ;)

Apple en Google is gevraagd om tientallen apps te verwijderen. Met de apps kan met echt geld worden gegokt.

Direct effects related to a gambling problem (anger and risk seeking behavior) are often invisible to the online gambler's environment. Once the indirect effects (neglect of personal- and professional environment) appear, the problem has often already caused significant damage and requires professional care.

However, the player's direct contact (the online supplier of games of chance) has much more information -that could detect a gambling problem- than land-based suppliers. But they have a conflict of interest since the problem gamblers are their biggest source of revenue.

The main indicators of problematic gambling is a change in the player's gaming activity. Placing bigger bets and playing for longer durations are often methods used to either "make up for losses" or "benefit from a winning streak".
Combining these indicators with absolute boundaries (time and money) set by the player before they have lost a dime, will make up for a powerful tool to detect problematic behavior and cut-off gambling addiction prematurely.

Relatively simple statistical models can estimate the riskiness of the player's behavior and start procedures that act risk-dependent; From notifying the player about his change in behavior or informing the player about the cause and effects of gambling behavior in case of low risk, to setting strict limitations or even temporary- or permanent exclusion in case of high risk.

Gambling can be both exciting and relaxing but it has its downsides. By installing best practices for preventing addiction, gambling can remain to be a great source of entertainment!
