Nieuwe maand, nieuwe challenge 👻🧩

Ook deze maand is er weer een puzzel challenge op Discord. Dit keer met het thema: Spooky Stuff! De challenge loopt gedurende de hele maand oktober op onze Discord (link onderaan bericht) en er wordt gestreden om de eer. 🏅 Aan het begin van november maken wij dan de officiële uitslag bekend.

De challenge:
Het doel is om zoveel mogelijk puzzels te leggen bij die spooky zijn. 🕷 Leg vooral uit waarom jij de puzzel spooky vindt!
Voor elke puzzel die je maakt krijg je 1 punt. Hierbij maakt het niet uit of je deze puzzel als solo, duo of team hebt gemaakt en ook of je hem op snelheid legt of niet mag je vrij kiezen. Het doel is vooral dat jullie plezier beleven aan het puzzelen! 🤩

🎃 Om te bewijzen dat je de puzzel ook echt in oktober hebt gemaakt, leg je een tekening van een spookje bij 👻

We have once again a puzzle challenge on Discord this month. This time with the theme: Spooky Stuff! The challenge runs throughout the entire month of October on our Discord (link at the bottom of the post), and participants will compete for the honor. 🏅 We will announce the official results at the beginning of November.

The challenge:
The goal is to complete as many spooky puzzles as possible. 🕷 Be sure to explain why you think the puzzle is spooky!
You get 1 point for every puzzle you complete. It does not matter whether you completed this puzzle solo, as a duo, or as a team, and you are free to choose whether to solve it based on speed or not. The main goal is for you to have fun puzzling! 🤩

DAG 4️⃣

Wauw, wauw, wauw, wat een dag! En wat ontzettend veel bijzondere Nederlandse prestaties, met uiteraard als hoogtepunt de wereldtitel voor 😱

Maar voordat dat gebeurde was vanochtend eerst de pairs finale, waar alle zeven pairs de puzzel binnen 01:30:00 afmaakten. 👏 Delia & Inge werden 4e van de wereld, op de hielen gezeten door Maartje & Martine op de 5e plek. Zij waren de eerste van drie pairs die binnen drie seconden finishten 🫨

Toen was daar de individuele finale, met een zeer pick-and-placy puzzel die de Nederlanders wel eens goed zou kunnen liggen. En dat was zo! Iedereen had de puzzel onder de 55 minuten af. 🤩 Charlotte H. werd 3e bij de Senior B's en Delia werd 2e bij de Senior A's. 💪 Het grootste applaus van vandaag is uiteraard voor Inge en Maartje. Inge behaalde haar hoogste individuele Worlds resultaat tot mu toe met een 8e plek. En Maartje werd dé nieuwe wereldkampioen met een ongelofelijke tijd van 27:57. Dit is een record voor Worlds! 🏆

Het was een fantastische week. Aan alle puzzelaars: wat zijn we trots op jullie en alle persoonlijke doelen die jullie de afgelopen week hebben behaald. 🏅 Aan alle thuisblijvers, we hopen dat jullie vanuit huis mee hebben kunnen genieten via livestreams en ons verslag hier. 📷 Tot de volgende, over en uit.

Wow, wow, wow, what a day! And so many remarkable Dutch performances, with the world title for Maartje as the highlight, of course 😱

But before that happened, there was the pairs final this morning, where all seven pairs finished the puzzle within 01:30:00. 👏 Delia & Inge came 4th in the world, followed quickly by Maartje & Martine in 5th place. They were the first of three pairs to finish within three seconds 🫨

Then came the individual final, featuring a very pick-and-placy puzzle that might well suit the Dutch. And it did! Everyone finished the puzzle in under 55 minutes. 🤩 Charlotte H. came 3rd in the Senior B category and Delia came 2nd in the Senior A category. 💪 The biggest applause of the day is, of course, for Inge and Maartje. Inge achieved her highest individual Worlds result to date with an 8th place. And Maartje became the new world champion with an incredible time of 27:57. This is a Worlds record! 🏆

It was a fantastic week. To all the puzzlers: we are so proud of you and all the personal goals you achieved this past week. 🏅 To everyone at home, we hope you were able to follow along from home via livestreams and our report here. 📷 Until next time 🙋

DAG 3️⃣

Teamsdag is toch eigenlijk wel de gezelligste dag. En ook nog eens heel succesvol! Bijna alle Nederlanders waren door naar de finale 🎉 Daar was het ontzettend spannend en uiteindelijk behaalde twee Nederlandse teams de top 20 💪 Bravo!

Update: Er was een fout in de finaleuitslag, wat betekent dat alle team behalve Mak&Piece en Moderate Succes Likely nog een plekje hoger zijn geëindigd!

Teams Day really is the most fun day. And very successful too! Almost all the Dutchies made it to the final 🎉 It was incredibly nervewrecking there, but ultimately two Dutch teams reached the top 20 💪 Bravo!

Update: there was a mistake in the final results, which meant that all teams except for Mak&Piece and Moderate Succes Likely placed one place higher!

DAG 2️⃣

Wat een dag! We begonnen vanochtend met de pairs voorrondes. Met twee keer een makkelijke keuze (toch?) sloegen onze Nederlanders zich succesvol door de puzzel heen. Zeven van onze pairs hebben zich uiteindelijk voor de finale geplaatst! 🎉

Toen was het tijd voor de landenwedstrijd. Na een snelle start lag TeamNL goed op koers voor een top 5 plek. Maar toen sloeg het noodlot toe 😵 De helft van de puzzel viel op de grond door een kapotte tafel. Uiteindelijk zijn we toch nog op een hele verdienstelijke 8e plek geeïndigd met een tijd van 01:08:47 voor 2000 stukjes.

De dag werd afgesloten met feest! 🎈 Op de Puzzel Party leerden de puzzelaars mensen van over de hele wereld kennen. En bij ónze karaoke kwamen we erachter dat heel veel puzzelaars ook andere talenten hebben 🎤

Nu naar bed en morgen weer fris op voor de teams!

What a day! We started this morning with the pairs qualifying rounds. With two easy choices (right?), our Dutchies successfully battled their way through the puzzle. Seven of our pairs ultimately qualified for the final! 🎉

Then it was time for the organisations competition. After a fast start, TeamNL was well on track for a top 5 spot. But then disaster struck 😵 Half of the puzzle fell to the floor due to a broken table. But ultimately, we finished in a very respectable 8th place with a time of 01:08:47 for 2000 pieces.

The day ended with a party! 🎈 At the Puzzle Party, the puzzlers met people from all over the world. And at our karaoke, we discovered that many puzzlers have other talents too 🎤

Now off to bed and up fresh for the teams tomorrow!

We zijn gestard! Vandaag is ontzettend veel gepuzzeld, en dan wel solo. Maar liefst 4 voorrondes en 2 halve finales zijn vandaag gespeeld. De Nederlanders hebben het super goed gedaan! 💪

Tijdens de finale op zondag zal Nederland Vertegendwoordigd worden door maar liefst 9 mensen 🇳🇱

We’re off to a flying start! Today involved an incredible amount of puzzling, and solo at that. No fewer than 4 preliminary rounds and 2 semi-finals were played today. The Dutch did a fantastic job! 💪

During the final on Sunday, the Netherlands will be represented by no fewer than 9 people 🇳🇱

De kop is eraf! 🌍

We zijn in Spanje! 🇪🇸 TeamNL heeft meteen geposeerd voor de altijd iconische Dome. Onze 2026 versie van de waaier is ook goed ontvangen, want iedereen stond daar bij het welkomstwoord uitgebreid mee te wapperen. En op de tentoonstelling in de Dome kwamen we ook allerlei Nederlandse bijdragen tegen 👀

We are in Spain! 🇪🇸 TeamNL immediately posed in front of the ever-iconic Dome. Our 2026 version of the fan was also well received, as everyone was waving it extensively during the welcome speech. And at the exhibition in the Dome, we also came across some Dutch contributions 👀

Het is Worlds Week! Vanaf morgen komt TeamNL in actie op het WK 2026 in Valladolid, Spanje. We houden jullie graag op de hoogte van de puzzelaars die ons land vertegenwoordigen, woonachtig zijn in Nederland en/of samen puzzelen met Nederlanders. Seizoen 26-27 tijdlijn 🧩📆

We hebben ontzettend leuk nieuws voor jullie. We zijn als bestuur druk bezig met het organiseren van leuke evenementen voor jullie en een paar daarvan kunnen we vandaag bekend maken! Zo zijn de Dutch Jigsaw Nationals volgend jaar op 3 en 4 juli. Swipe snel om de rest van de tijdlijn van het komende seizoen te bekijken. 🎉

De donkerblauwe evenementen zijn door ons georganiseerd. Aan de witte evenementen doen we mee als deelnemers en/of samenwerkingspartners. Dit is een dynamische tijdlijn. Dat betekent dat er gedurende het seizoen dingen aan toegevoegd zullen worden. 👀 In aanloop naar de geplande evenementen zullen we meer details bekend maken.

We willen de komende tijd ook aan de slag met community-events. Dat zijn activiteiten georganiseerd door jullie! 🤩 Heb je een leuk idee? Bijvoorbeeld een puzzelswap, kleine wedstrijd, gezellig samenkomen of iets compleet anders? Over een week start in Valladolid, Spanje, het World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship 2026, en wij zijn erbij! Gedurende de hele week zijn er naast de wedstrijden andere activiteiten om aan deel te nemen.
