BENEFIETAVOND - Morgen staat de Broedmachine in de glitter!!
Natuurlijk organiseren we dit feestje om ons pand te kunnen isoleren, maar wat wordt dit een gezellige avond!

Met sprankelende host

Gedurende de avond zijn er spontane Kiergedichten, kan je het Biechthokje in of koop lootjes en hengel mee naar een mooie overnachting voor z'n 2en!
Daarnaast is er een expositie over de geschiedenis van de Broed en een kraam vol prachtige benefietproducten die voor een zacht prijsje aangeschaft kunnen worden.

Aanmelden is niet nodig, iedereen is welkom.

DE BASIS CURSUS pottenbakken start over een kleine 1,5 week en er zijn nog een aantal draaischijven vrij op de zaterdagmiddag! 🏺

We starten 20 september om 13:00 uur in het ruime en lichte atelier van Toonbeeld Castricum.
In 12 lessen krijg je hier de beginselen van het draaien, afdraaien en glazuren aangeboden.

DRAGON FIRE

Working in my own bubble means searching. Sometimes energetic & joyfull and sometimes I'm staring into the abyss contemplating my life choices....

For me, the creative process does not exist because of talent. It is thanks to timeless trying, accepting frustrations and having oceans of coffee with maker-friends. And above all, it's about showing up. Again and again.

After that rollercoaster, it's great to see that what moves in the caverns of your mind spring to life!

What a beautiful afternoon it was with and all the lovely people, who were willing to spend their sunny sunday afternoon with us.

RESEARCH OF THE SEEDLING

Look at these beauties! Are they from outerspace?
I can't believe the shape, texture and colour i've caught through the lens.

In the meantime, their brothers and sisters are thrown in my garden (some which i was able to identify).

EXPOSITIES NIEUW GEESTERHAGE

UNUSABLE MUGS [right]
Pottery goes a long way and is usually about funcional objects. With this exhibition i wanted to challenge my students to create a disfunctional mug by letting go of perfectionism and exploring boundaries that comes with the concept of MUG.

101 TINY VASES [left]
A personal search to form and tranquillity.
Creating and looking at these tiny vases is a southing experience.
It is easy to lose yourself in curves, colour and you want to immerse yourself to investigate the details. To some point, time no longer exists.
A exhibition that keeps on expanding.

For 2 months both expositions will be on display at the main hall in Geesterhage. Feel free to walk in and have a look!

GLAZING TIME

I love these days in the studio! The mornings are about throwing (a.k.a. chaos and force) in the afternoon it's glazing time (silence and focus).

Today i felt a bit fishy 🌊 Can't wait to pull these little bowls and sauciers out of the kiln!
