At first glance, the work of ZERROU BROTHERS appears almost minimal. Look closer, and an intricate world of depth and movement begins to unfold.

Geometric forms rise from the surface, catching the light differently throughout the day. Inspired by natural structures as well as Moroccan and Islamic architecture, ZERROU creates a contemporary visual language in which repetition, mathematics and craftsmanship come together.

No two viewpoints are quite the same.

Where precision meets craftsmanship.
Every work by ZERROU begins with an idea, developed digitally and brought to life entirely by hand.

Working primarily with paper, brothers Khalid and Rachid Zerrou carefully cut, fold and construct each individual element. Layer by layer, geometric patterns emerge precise in their composition, yet constantly changing through light and perspective.

New at Kunsthuizen! ZERROU BROTHERS
We are delighted to welcome Leiden-based artist duo Khalid and Rachid Zerrou to Kunsthuizen.

The two brothers combine traditional craftsmanship with digital design, creating intricate three-dimensional works from paper. Their shared fascination with geometry, architecture and technique forms the foundation of a distinctive body of work.

We will be presenting their work at Kunsthuizen for the very first time during Kunstroute Leiden, 26 & 27 September.

Giuseppe Lamers × Kunstroute Leiden
Op 26 & 27 september presenteren we tijdens Kunstroute Leiden een tweedaagse expositie met het werk van beeldhouwer Giuseppe Lamers in Kunsthuizen Leiden.

Beide dagen is Giuseppe zelf aanwezig in de galerie. Een mooie gelegenheid om zijn sculpturen van dichtbij te ontdekken en op informele wijze met hem in gesprek te gaan over zijn werk, inspiratie en werkwijze.

Lamers maakt karakteristieke sculpturen in brons en keramiek, waarin menselijke vormen en thema’s als verbondenheid, geborgenheid en verstilling centraal staan.

Naast de expositie blijft ook onze vaste collectie te zien, aangevuld met nieuwe werken van verschillende kunstenaars.

We verwelkomen je graag tijdens Kunstroute Leiden!

A sculpture that changes with the light.

Carry Doorn works with transparent metal mesh, creating forms that feel both powerful and almost weightless. The open structure allows light to pass through, giving the artwork a different appearance throughout the day and from every perspective.

With Onfolding, Carry Doorn shows how a sculpture can be both monumental and remarkably light.
