Back to reality... After a whirlwind few weeks of WOW!house it was rather nice to spend the evening at home with my daughters and Izzy, finally planting the lilies we brought back from the Chelsea Flower Show.

Perhaps a little later than planned, but gardening has a way of reminding us that not everything needs to be done on schedule. Sometimes it’s enough to enjoy being outside, getting your hands in the soil and sharing a simple moment together.

I love the patterns the sun and shadows are making from the ferns today. Come down to Wow!house and see for yourself!

A fantastic day at the Press Day for WOW!house 2026.
It’s always a special moment seeing months of planning, collaboration and craftsmanship come together. Being part of WOW!house has been a real pleasure, and it’s inspiring to see the exceptional creativity and talent on display throughout the house.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this year’s project to life. I’m looking forward to sharing more of the details and welcoming visitors over the coming weeks.

At Griffin Nurseries, we refined the planting palette for our courtyard garden at WOW!house choosing plants for structure, texture and seasonal rhythm as much as for colour. Each species plays a role: framing space, softening architecture, supporting biodiversity and creating atmosphere. We ended up going for ferns, Astrantia and Hostas. More to be revealed soon!

Wow, what a year for Chelsea!

Experiencing the gardens in the stillness of the early morning, just before the show opened, gave a real appreciation for the extraordinary thought, planting and craftsmanship behind this year’s designs. From Tom Stuart-Smith’s beautiful garden for the Tate to the many inspiring spaces across the showground, there was such a strong sense of creativity and care throughout.

It was also a pleasure leading Chelsea tours again and sharing the week with my team and daughters, a few very memorable days immersed in gardens, people and inspiration.

Now, I think it’s finally time to rest my legs…
