2024 had our hearts and our minds torn.

This year, we had the most creative, challenging, and fun projects ever. Inside the bubble of Popcorn Brain, we sometimes feel like we live in a place where visions can be accomplished – if you just work hard enough and live by our own rules of excellence.

At the same time, in the real world, we are reminded that the world is unfair, and that sometimes the rules are skewed in favor of the shrewd, the calculating, and the practical. The hordes of A.I. bots are at the gates, while we double down on craftshumanship.

The heaviness of the world puts pressure on the pursuit of joy, beauty, and the frivolous. But here we are. Our small band of romantic ideologues. Another year, knowing that while we might be doing the least important work, we treat it as if it were the most important.

Let’s cheers to 2025, and make space for craziness, fun, and creativity.

The final highlight of the year might just be the finest.

The whole team came together – led by – to create a truly unique documentary for our friends at and .so .

We told the incredible story of and the people of San Francisco, Colombia. In this small town, we witnessed the fragility of centralized finance – and for the first time, captured a real-time, real-world use case for blockchain that actually makes a difference.

Or, as many have told us:
“If I need to show my mom why this tech matters, I show her this film.”

Honestly, we couldn’t ask for a better compliment.

The campaign for the Stellar Development Foundation isn’t just about blockchain – it’s about the people behind it. And trust us, the lives of developers building on Stellar are just as fascinating as the tech they’re creating.

It all kicked off in Amsterdam with Matthias – we met him at a soup kitchen and later at a goth bar, capturing his story and passion for building on Stellar. From there, things really took off.

Next stop: Miami, where we caught up with Bernardo from FelixPay. After that, we were off to Puerto Escondido – and by 5 a.m., we were on the beach shooting the Decaf team surfing at sunrise. On the way back, we made a stop in Mexico City to photograph the Cash Abroad crew before heading home to Amsterdam.

This project took us around the world – and next year, we’re doing it all over again.

is just getting started.

Working with our friends at Turkish Airlines is always a blast.
This time, we took things to the next dimension with a 3D digital billboard campaign promoting their Business Class experience.

The star of the show? A massive billboard takeover at London’s iconic Piccadilly Circus. But it turned out so cool, we couldn’t stop there – we expanded the campaign to the legendary Shinjuku intersection and Shibuya crossing in Tokyo.

We also brought the magic home with a spot at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront and, of course, it’ll light up Istanbul Airport as well.

Big screen energy.

Here’s the list formatted for easy copying:

Holy airmiles, Batman! ✈️
This year, we were everywhere. Our services were called on from nearly every continent – and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. The PCB team is like a pack of creative chameleons, blending in (and standing out) no matter where we land.

2025? Looks like we’re strapping in for more international shenanigans, making awesome stuff for audiences on a truly global scale.

Buckle up and lift off!

2024 was a crazy year at our studio.
We traveled across continents, tackled wildly diverse projects, and expanded our collective brains in ways we never expected – and we’ve hardly had time to stand still and smell the popcorn.

So let’s fix that.

🔄 Countdown time! We’re highlighting our coolest moments of the year, with one post per day until New Year’s.

Stay tuned – it’s been a wild ride.

Popcorn Brain is flying high after a wonderful time attending Stellar’s annual Meridian conference in sunny ol’ London, just one year after we officially rebranded the Stellar network.

Being there was like stepping into a warm bath of creative fulfillment. Not an hour would pass without us hearing the best reviews about the brand’s new look and feel, which eliminated the SpaceX vibe in favor of something that radiates warmth and humanity. One developer who has been building on Stellar for a decade even told us that the rebrand was like ‘God himself coming down bearing gifts.’ This was music to our ears!

We could write all day about Popcorn Brain’s spectacular rendezvous at Meridian, but we’ve saved the long story for our blog. Check it on www.popcornbrain.com

If you thought Dead Pixel’s the latest film, Wear Wool, Not Waste, was thrilling… then you NEED to watch the behind the scenes of masterminds in the process!

We watched in awe as they combined physical and virtual techniques to simulate the movement of these synthetic zombies.

Hats off to the DP team and everyone involved in this EPIC production!
