Queen at Sea: An emotionally gripping drama about a daughter who clashes with her stepfather over the care, autonomy, and consent of her mother, who is living with advanced dementia. Screening in honour of World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21.
500 Miles: Two brothers run away from home in England and embark on a journey to reach their estranged grandfather on Ireland’s west coast.
Downtown: Three young friends immerse themselves in Amsterdam’s hedonistic nightlife, until the mysterious arrival of AIDS casts a shadow over their lives. Thirty-two years later, during the 2021 lockdown, they try to rekindle their friendship.
Simon: “He’ll change your life.” Simon tells the story of the unlikely friendship between Simon, a straight Amsterdam hash dealer, and Camiel, a shy gay dental student. During a holiday together in Thailand, their friendship is put to the ultimate test, and they lose touch. Twelve years later, they unexpectedly meet again, only to discover that Simon is seriously ill. We’re also re-releasing Simon in memory of Cees Geel, following his recent passing.
