Four Holland Festival coproductions will tour the Netherlands and Europe! This is your chance to catch up on the performances you might have missed last June.

Associate Artist 2026 Hildur Guรฐnadรณttir (Hildur Guรฐnadoฬttir) was commissioned by the Holland Festival and Musica Sacra (Musica Sacra Maastricht) to compose a new work for brass players from various Dutch conservatories. The piece was first performed during the festival in Amsterdamโs Westerpark in June and will be performed again on 19 September from the balcony of the Bonnefanten Museumโs rocket-shaped tower. Guรฐnadรณttir is particularly enthusiastic about the tower, designed by architect Aldo Rossi and affectionately nicknamed โthe suppositoryโ by locals. Combined with the reflections of the sound on the River Maas, the performance is sure to create a magical experience.

If you missed Ali Chahrourโs (Ali Chahrour) magnetic and touching When I Saw the Sea, there are new tour dates added throughout Europe. This might be your chance to see the powerful performance about the women who escaped the kafala system in Beirut, and fight to gain back their lives and autonomy. They balance performance with testimony, giving voice not only to their own experiences but to those of thousands of others.ย

HOLOBIONT - a GENDERF**KING RAVE RITUEEL
In June, we saw the XL version of Holobiont. This fall, it will go on tour in a different and new incarnation for theaters. HOLOBIONT connects with local q***r and trans communities through collaboration with the hosting theater. Workshops, open space for meeting, knowledge sharing, and artistic exchange. Local performers also step onto the HOLOBIONT stage, making every performance a living, breathing remix shaped by the voices and bodies of the city.
