Atlas Podcast #3 - Will Oirson

The Third podcast in our Atlas series is made bij Will Oirson. The dutchman used to go by the name of Cursed P. Coming from a long background through electro, techno and other styles it was time for a fresh start. A new focus on house in the broadest sense of the word. Along the way he got to play at big shows like TrouwAmsterdam, Gashouder, Tomorrowland, STRP and having proven his skills during a SEKOIA night in Boston, USA.

There’s a massive hype going on in Berlin, our eastern neighbours are talking about ‘clubsterben’. Do you have to worry about your favourite Berlin nightclub getting closed up?

No. The Berlin municipality isn’t patronising Berlin nightlife like Amsterdam does with it’s free spaces, nightlife and creativity.

So far Berlin has lost two major clubs to . DJB looks at the causes of this disease and asks how we can cure it.

The masterminds behind the late club Trouw are coming back with a new venue called 'De School'.

Will it be as legendary as their former venues Club 11 and ofcourse, Trouw?

The new venue has applied for a 24-hour license.

Kevin Duane.

His deep melodic sound with an electronic dash is a feast to the ear and will definitely make your feet dance. He came a long way since he started turning the tables and with gigs at STRAF_WERK, NGHTDVSN and Lotgenoten’s Carpe Noctem he now is a well known figure in Amsterdam nightlife.

In about two weeks he will be turning those tables again at Atlas.

Let’s talk about HAARBAARBAAR, his name is a perfect similarity to his looks. It’s all about the fuzz, with his long hair, big beard and hairy face he truly looks like a barbarian. But don’t be mistaken by his looks, his tunes will rock your body. His deep melodic sound will definitely make your feet dance and will bring your hands high up in the sky.
