The story of humankind is a story of movement, be it movement trough artificially constructed borders of countries, or movement trough dance. We have known how to move and we have known how to dance, since we have known our humanness.

'ON THE MOVE' aims to unite these elements of human movement, migration and dance.

w' presents the experiences of gay refugees after arriving to Europe and waiting in asylum
center.

'Scar tissue' presents what happens after, when a gay refugee arrives to the big city. LGBT people who are inevitably part of the wave of refugees arriving in Europe remain highly vulnerable even when they have escaped the immediate threat to their lives and arrived in the West. Often they face the threat of abuse and discrimination within their own communities, being “The Other” even amongst their own people. WHAT DO WE KNOW - Dance, Theatre performance
A group of people are stranded after a long trip fleeing from their country and get stuck in an anonymous environment. Unclear procedures, confusing laws and protocols, keep the group of newcomers in its grip. Contact with 'others' outside of this crazy labyrinth is almost impossible as the enforcers strictly observe the compliance of their laws and procedures. SCAR TISSUE - Film
Aims to bring a very personal, yet universal, story of a gay Syrian refugee who has recently arrived in Amsterdam. and explores questions that anyone who has ever felt that they do not belong has had to face.
