The crossing is a four-day hiking- somatic laboratory that will take us across the island of Gran Canaria from the north coast to the south coast from 27th to 30th April
This journey invites participants to enter into a process of personal exploration within a collective experience; offering a program that enhances an intuitive connection with nature, movement and meditation.
As we enter the heart of the island and advance in our walk, we will observe how the boundaries imposed between self and other, mind and body, observer and observed, body and space will begin to dissipate; in the same way the mental noise and the constant creation of thoughts will disappear; to give way naturally to a relaxed state of non-dual consciousness. Once this perception is achieved, we will propose exercises that are nourished by the environment and help us to raise our vital energy; thus deepening the existential space we occupy in nature.
As we move towards a silent presence in our walk, we will allow the landscape to articulate our experience allowing us to share narratives of the historical/cultural evolution of the land to inspire exercises that relate movement, space and memory.
Emptying, regenerating and empowering ourselves will be vital objectives to allow nature to act upon us and our actions. Sharing the same space of consciousness, we will generate a collective identity in which we will take care of each individual experience to move forward as a group.
Who is it for? What is the objective of this laboratory?
This journey is open to people who want to experience the art of walking and the journey as a healing and creative process.
Aware of the immense injustice, pain and noise that surrounds us, we want to share with this proposal the need to return to the natural environment as a source of consensus, knowledge and well-being. People who need to empty, restart, recover, empower, reset, put in dialogue their processes or create something new from new beginnings.

For this reason we advise you to start walking at least couple of weeks before and to test your footwear well.
Technical requirements:
Sports shoes for walking in the bush and comfortable clothes, light raincoat, some warm clothes, sleeping bag, mosquito net, mat and headlamp, notebook, two trekking poles (optional). We advise you to travel light, so that everything fits in a medium sized backpack.
