zelfgemaakte taarten, kunstlessen in schilderen en acteren, ontbijt netwerken. Noem maar op!

A place in the centre of the beautiful cultural freehaven of Ruigoord that may facilitate presentations (books, music, dance etc), workshops, a performing arts stage as in concerts, poetry, theatre and more, rehearsal space (also for piano - as the Salon has a new grand piano) meetings, private evenings, rituals, devotion, ceremonies, kirtan, satsang, exhibitions, kiddy parties with lots of homemade cakes, art classes in painting and/or acting, breakfast networking.

Philip Carr-Gomm is a psychologist and author of over 20 books. He was the leader of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids for 32 years, and is a psychedelic practitioner.

Op 23 november ontvangt de Salon Abderraouf Ouertani!

Abderraouf Ouertani is een Tunesische oudspeelkunstenaar (Arabische luit) en componist, gevestigd in Parijs. Hij heeft samengewerkt met muzikanten uit diverse achtergronden (jazz, Europese klassieke muziek, traditionele wereldmuziek), wat heeft geleid tot vijf albums: Contes d’un misérable luth (2013), Contes outre-méditerranéens (2015), Duo Deux Rives (2018), Contes d’un retour au pays imaginaire (2021) en Ta’am (2024). Daarnaast heeft hij een doctoraat in de sociale antropologie en is hij een fervent reiziger.

Zijn nieuwste muzikale project, Oud Wanderings, dat hij met veel plezier in Amsterdam presenteert, draait om de thema’s reizen en spiritualiteit. Het bestaat uit instrumentale composities voor solo-oud, afgewisseld met het verhaal van een reis die hem in de loop van een jaar van Parijs naar het zuiden van India bracht. Deze reis was zowel extern als intern, een combinatie van avontuur en introspectie.

De verhalen worden bij deze gelegenheid in het Engels voorgelezen door Marieke McKenna.
