Miss Chrissy Kiss is an Estonian burlesque performer and producer, living in the Netherlands. Her acts are a combination of old Hollywood extravaganza and dark mystic vibes - a curvy, bold and flirtatious souvenir to keep dashing through your mind.

Life comes full circle - the first time I performed in was at the in 2014. It was my first ever festival and I was very much a baby burlesquer. I remember being surrounded by all these international all stars and performers and was mesmerized by the idea that maybe one day I too could do this full time.

This time, 12 years later, I'm back on the same stage, but this time not as a festival participant but as a booked international headliner for Spring Ball 🩷

Thank you from my heart and for having me at this magical spectacle 🙏 baby Chrissy is doing an inner happy dance. I felt really cared, everything was running so smoothly for and the audience roars are a clear feedback for how much your work is appreciated. Wishing you more power to keep the magic going 👏

There is so much storytelling, that secret sauce, that can be added with how you guide your audience's gaze with yours.

Even if the story is as deep as "What you looking at!! Oop-oh-my! I know exactly what you are looking at". True poetry indeed.

So, what's the story behind the Moth? ➡️ A reversed metamorphosis from a dead bug, to a magnificent creature of the night, into a restrictive cocoon and eventually becoming a fuzzy, silly, lil caterpillar.

For you, the audience, I am the fantasy of whatever you want me to be.

To me, this act is basically an autobiography.

I am the dead bug - lying in the darkness, activated by the call of the spotlight.

I am the creature of the night - flapping my wings so freaking hard to reach the "light". The applause always comes in this act when there is a pause, much like it does in my real life. And then I take off my big magnificent wings after every show and go home.

I am always fighting the cocoon - physically at the end of the show packing my stuff into a suitcase, mentally accepting that the "magnificent creature of the night" form is something I can only sustain for only a short moment and I am back to my normal self.

I am the caterpillar - just a silly little fuzzy guy, once I'm done with my work and get home. Crawling around and just happy people liked me as a moth but also laugh with me as I am in my final, and arguably, peak form on and off stage 🐛

So yeah, in a way, it's not that deep, it's just a pretty sight. And in the other way I give you my heart.

Deep bow to the .burlesque.festival ♥️
Thank you .devine .bouvet and .d.amour for having me as one of your headliners this year! You all put so much care and attention to this festival and it really shows.

Also thank you to all the beautiful performers at the festival who made it such a fun space — there's too many of you to list 🤣

I remember when I first performed in Munich 6 years ago in the very same theater and now it was such a beautiful retour!

Bavaria will forever have a soft spot in my heart.

And can we have an applause for the amazing photographer, the one and only .de.dooij for capturing these moments! I will need to do a post 2 for landscape photos of the moth because cropping his work feels like a sin.
