Now open: ENTER/PUBLIC/SPACE! ⤵️ The exhibition will be up until October 3rd.

Bringing together a diverse group of artists, Enter/Public/Space explores the performativity of the body, presence in public spaces, and the political dimensions of urban design and technology.

Taking Esther P***k’s AmsterdamREALTIME (2002) – produced in collaboration with Jeroen Kee and Waag Futurelab – as its starting point, the exhibition brings together videos and interactive installations that consider public space as both stage and subject. The programme invites us to look at the ways bodies are read, regulated and surveilled, while also imagining new forms of movement, solidarity and collective action.

With works by Noor Abed, Cyan Bae, Jan Robert Leegte, Mapping Solidarity for Palestine, Mona Hatoum, Pegah Tabasinejad and P***kVanBekkum

Curated by Sanneke Huisman and belit sağ.

We look forward to welcoming you! 🤍
Opening hours: Wed-Sat, 13.00-18.00

ENTER/PUBLIC/SPACE

⭐️Performance highlight: Geo Wyex’ performance Nobody Wade Never Too Much (2024-2026)

In Sarphatipark, an esteemed professor, wades through low-lying waters “looking for stars out of what stinks”. Geo Wyex closes the festival with a solo performance borrowing from the classic absurdist play Waiting for Godot and Luther Vandross’ 1981 hit single “Never Too Much,” as an interminable relay between the nothing and the something that is all that we got when we get together.

Free entry, no registration required.

⭐️Performance highlight: Çağlar Köseoğlu and Saverio Cantoni

‘throw a stone: Ramallah looks violet from the night of justice’ is a live reading and sonic performance by poet Çağlar Köseoğlu and sound artist Saverio Cantoni. Structured around four poems engaging the ongoing war and genocide in Palestine, the work treats text as a live score, improvising across voice and sound in real time.

The performance is followed by an artist talk. Free entry, no registration required.

⭐️Performance highlight: Giulia Damiani’s performance Apologia

The performance artist presents an extract from her new work Apology for Fire. This short solo performance investigates how power and climate narratives choreograph public space. It is inspired by the artist’s stay in areas of Portugal impacted by wildfires, and offers an alternative public discourse on how non-normative bodies inhabit, share, and reclaim urban space — connecting with what exists beyond.

The performance on Saturday is followed by an artist talk. Free entry, no registration required.
