Art and artefacts from Africa, Asia and Oceania

At the Tribal art fair you can find objects from Oceania, Africa, Indonesia, South-America, Tibet and the Philippines The exhibition comprises jewellery and sculptures, textiles, masks, implements and furniture. All objects on the fair will also be judged by experts in that region. At the TAF Amsterdam 2013 nineteen renowned art dealers, both from Holland and abroad will display their best pieces. Collectors, enthusiasts and anyone who is curious about tribal art can come and look around or learn more about this art form by attending a guided tour or an interesting lecture, all at ‘De Duif' church in the centre of Amsterdam.

This year we will present for the first time Aboriginal paintings at the TAF Amsterdam presented by Aboriginal Art Amsterdam
Like this painting "Grandmother’s Country" from Michelle Possum Nungurrayi

Michelle Possum Nungurrayi depicts the country of the Anmatyerre language group around Yuelamu, on the edge of the Tanami Desert (NT). Her work presents a map like view of the land, showing the places where specific bush foods can be found.

Many masks will be presented at the TAf in Amsterdam.
The mosquito mask will be shown by Louis Nierijnck the Baining mask by Tribal Design and the mask from Kongo by Michel van den Dries.
