“De film Amadeus is inmiddels veertig jaar oud, maar nog altijd even indrukwekkend – een film die bij elke keer kijken blijft verrassen. Het verhaal draait om Mozart, maar wordt verteld vanuit het perspectief van zijn jaloerse rivaal Salieri, wat het des te intrigerender en dramatischer maakt. De muziek is uiteraard fenomenaal, maar de kostuums en visuals zijn net zo prachtig. Het is dan ook geen wonder dat Amadeus van Miloš Forman maar liefst 8 Oscars won, waaronder die voor Beste Film, Beste Regisseur en Beste Acteur. Zelfs als je niets van Mozart afweet, valt er ontzettend veel te genieten. Als je nog nooit een echte 10/10-film hebt gezien, is dit je kans.”

The story revolves around Mozart, but it’s told from the perspective of his jealous rival Salieri, which makes it all the more intriguing and dramatic. The music is, of course, phenomenal, but the costumes and visuals are equally stunning. It’s no wonder Miloš Forman’s Amadeus won 8 Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor. So even if you’re not familiar with Mozart, there’s still so much to enjoy. If you’ve never seen a true 10/10 film, this is your chance.”
