KERSGALLERY at NAP+ Amsterdam

We are pleased to present a solo presentation by Taqwa Ali at NAP+ Amsterdam.

Working with hibiscus, earth, clay and natural pigments, Ali explores landscape, displacement, memory and belonging through a distinctive material language.

Recipient of the Royal Award for Modern Painting (2025) and the Van Bommel Van Dam Prize (2026), Ali is currently a material fellow at the Jan van Eyck Academie. In 2027, her work will be presented in a solo exhibition at the Bonnefanten Museum.

CHANGING SEASONS 🍂
With Gommaar Gilliams, Florentijn de Boer & Marc Mulders, KERSGALLERY opens its new space at Hazenstraat 2A in Amsterdam.
The exhibition brings together three distinctive artistic practices, connected by themes of transformation, transience and renewal. Memories, desires and images are constantly shifting—just like the seasons. What disappears leaves traces behind, creating fertile ground for something new.
Together, the works form a rich and sensory world in which growth and decay, light and darkness, past and future continually meet.
CHANGING SEASONS is an exhibition about change, but above all about the promise of a new beginning.
Opening: Saturday 5 September, 3–6 PM

Together with Adams Amsterdam Auctions, we are once again organising ONGEKEND YOUNG MASTERS @ AUCTION at KERSGALLERY.

An auction dedicated to discovering and supporting young talent, with works by 29 emerging artists, selected together with Ina van Zyl and David Bade.

I love seeing all these different artists and works come together in the gallery. From Friday onwards, you can come and see everything in person, followed by the live + online auction this Sunday at 4 PM.

A new chapter for KERSGALLERY!

After being based on the Lindengracht since 2012, it’s time for the next step. I’m incredibly excited to open the doors to our new gallery space at Hazenstraat 2A, Amsterdam, in the heart of the Jordaan.

This Saturday, September 5, we celebrate the opening with works by Marc Mulders, Gommaar Gilliams and Florentijn de Boer.

At 16:00, the gallery will be officially opened by Jan Rudolph de Lorm, former director of Singer Laren.

I would love to welcome you and raise a glass together to this new chapter. 🥂
