SOUND OF BERBERIA IN THE Ventilator Cinema

Two young musicians want to travel across North Africa in a quest for the true Berber sound. In the middle of their journey, they meet a woman journalist who makes them decide to change their route in order to play music with the Tuaregs in northern Mali, but her intentions are not clear. When they realize that, it is too late.

🎬 JUNE 2026 AT VENTILATOR CINEMA

A new month of independent cinema, artist films, documentaries, performances, community events, premieres, discussions, and experimental works awaits at Ventilator Cinema.

This June, our programme brings together filmmakers, artists, performers, researchers, and communities from Amsterdam and beyond. From Q***r Cinema for Palestine and the Amsterdam premiere of Last Shot, to French theatre, experimental film nights, graduation showcases, community gatherings, and special screenings, there is something happening almost every week.

We are also excited to announce that Ventilator Cinema has officially joined Cineville.

From now on, Cineville members can attend our film screenings and selected cinema events using their Cineville pass. As a community-driven independent cinema located in the historic OT301 building, we look forward to welcoming both new and familiar audiences to discover our programme.

Great News — Ventilator Cinema Joins Cineville! 🎬

Starting this week, Ventilator Cinema is officially part of Cineville.
