[Project No.251 Stories] Our architectural model of Stories is currently on display at "Luchtwortels: Feit en fictie in landschappen op hoogte" at in Amsterdam, an exhibition exploring the relationship between nature and vertical urban landscapes.

Stories is a 45-metre-high residential tower in Buiksloterham, Amsterdam, containing 35 apartments and commercial units. The building combines an industrial character with planted balconies, bringing greenery into high-rise living. The tower is constructed primarily from cross-laminated timber (CLT).

Our 1:100 scale model reflects this connection between architecture and nature, highlighting the warmth of the wood and the building’s distinctive material character. One of our studio’s strengths is the ability to combine different materials and techniques to bring architectural concepts to life.

[Project No.237 Amsterdamse Poort] We updated two plots in the Amsterdamse Poort model that we have been updating since 2021. Cluster 8, in the middle of the street, is the last piece of the major development and the highlight of this update.

is changing from a shopping centre into a city centre for the whole of Zuidoost. Construction of Cluster 8, the middle block at its heart, is ongoing, with completion expected in 2028.

A model that grows with the city only works if every addition matches what came before. Over years of updates, we kept the same materials and finish, so a new plot sits next to one built years earlier as if they were built together. That precision and consistency mean the model will remain as one complete piece, a record of the whole transformation, long after the district is finished.

[Project No196. Amstelkwartier - CLIFF] A tall, narrow tower model built from a combination of acrylic and oak veneer, with each material catching and reflecting light differently.

A competition model for a residential tower proposed for Amstelkwartier, Amsterdam.

For competition models, we work closely with the architect’s design, considering how to express its character through material choices, fabrication techniques, and level of detail. Here, each floor plate is a separate piece of acrylic, individually cut and fitted before being stacked to form the tower’s curved profile. We maintain this standard.

[Project No. 323 Flow Town Rijnhaven Rotterdam] Cut open and made transparent, acrylic and plywood together let you see straight through the section, floor by floor.

Provast's Flow Town covers roughly 120,000m2 and over 1,000 homes, organized as a series of vertical neighbourhoods, stacked communities of six floors each. It also includes care, childcare, sport, culture, and workspaces.

Colour-coded elevator shafts trace the vertical circulation, including the neighbourhood lift that connects shared community levels. At this scale, you can trace exactly how a resident would move through the building to reach a shared space.

[Project No.265 Havenstraatterrein] Look closely, and you'll find our own studio on this model. Karperweg 41 sits right at the edge of the development.

Havenstraatterrein is being transformed from a patchwork of former railway sheds into a new Amsterdam neighbourhood, with around 500 homes across social, mid-range, and free sector housing, plus a school and a GP practice. Old rail tracks are reused as playground objects and railings, keeping the site's rugged character alive.

Since our original model in 2024, the plots and public space have been finalized, and we have updated the model to match. What you see now is the clearest picture yet of what's actually coming to the area just outside our door.

Flow Town has won the tender for Rijnhaven Block 1 in Rotterdam. We're glad to have contributed to the winning proposal, helping communicate its architectural and social concept through this model.
eu 's Flow Town covers roughly 120,000m2 and over 1,000 homes, organized as a series of vertical neighbourhoods, stacked communities of six floors each. It also includes care, childcare, sport, culture, and workspaces. Designed by , , .office, and .

For this 1:50 sectional model, we focused on two neighbourhood blocks and stripped the architecture down to structure, circulation, and collective space. Transparent acrylic stands in for the concrete slabs, wood veneer for the floors, and translucent profiles for the steel columns. Color-coded elevator shafts trace the vertical circulation, including the lift that connects shared community levels, so a resident's daily route through the building becomes visible at a glance.

[Project No.213 Lloyd Yard+Babel Lloydpier] Look closely, and you'll notice both buildings are shaped around their outdoor space.

Lloyd Yard and Babel are two distinct developments on Rotterdam's Lloydpier, once the nucleus of the Port of Rotterdam. Lloyd Yard is five blocks arranged around a shared garden, holding 136 homes above a sunken garage. Babel stacks 24 homes like a pyramid, each level stepping back to form a private terrace for the home above.

The model captures this in detail, the shared courtyard at Lloyd Yard, opening toward the river, and the private terraces stepping down through Babel. At this scale, that detail becomes the whole point, it's what lets you see how people would actually live in these buildings, not just how they would look from outside.

[Project No.187 VDMA] A whole neighbourhood, held in the hand.

VDMA takes its name from Van der Meulen Ansems, the garage once located here. Among the proposal's ideas is the Roofscraper, a horizontal high-rise element designed to hover above the site like a cloud.

This model holds a plan of 75,000m2 in 42 x 29 x 14cm scale. We dared to omit detail, reducing most of the neighbourhood to plain white volumes, while the historic garage and matchbox factory remain in warm wood, structure still visible under the new towers. Every rooftop and gap between buildings is condensed into something readable at a glance.

[Project No.238 Studios 070 + Katwolder] Two models, two cities, two different scales, yet they share the same visual language. Simplicity, clarity, and refinement.

Both buildings sit at the edge of their cities, adding density where density was needed. Studios 070 transforms a former warehouse in The Hague into 90 compact student residences. De Katwolder brings the count of homes on a Zwolle site from 23 to 84, with a commercial ground floor below. Both are designed around a shared inner garden, a place for residents to meet.

Around each building, the surrounding context is represented in plain wood, left simple and unfinished. It's a quiet choice, one that lets the real subject, the building itself, hold the eye.

[Project No.207 Nassau Bergen] Tiny figures on the beach, buildings reflected in still water, sand still warm from the summer. This is what the model shows, and it happens to be the season we're in too.

A renovation plan for a hotel by the sea.

At 1:500, the model sets the hotel within its full coastal terrain, dunes, beach, and water meeting the building's curved form. At a very different scale, the 1:20 cutaway strips the same hotel down to its frame, wood mullions and a single figure standing inside, showing what the interior would have felt like to actually stand in.
