Yay, Penny is two!

Since Penny's birth on the evening of March 19th in 2015, we've held 10 open mics, countless writers potlucks, featured at art festivals, (semi-illegally) printed our first zine with your work, started an editing circle, and more plans are in the making!
It's been beautiful, fun, stressful, inspiring and more buuuut it wouldn't have happened without YOU CHAMPS

Hey kiddos, so besides the exciting extravaganza that is Scopophilia Art Festival on January 20, we also have an ongoing thingy we want to gently and with great tenderness bring to your attention.

It is time to introduce the world to Jenny Dreadful, Penny's misshapen and half-baked twin sister. Jenny Dreadful is the name of our editing circle, a thing we started so we can share our work with each other and give feedback. It's super-fun to have a bunch of people applauding and flinging their underwear at your head after you've read your lil poem at an open mic, but it's also super-fun to have those people sit down with a red pen* and help you make that baby achieve its full potential.

but we will have a proper open mic at the end, when we will awkwardly ask "does anyone else want to read?" and stare into the abyss that is your faces and confront the void that is your silence until a brave soul raises their hand. So you can always show up and see!!!
