“Our second contributor of A.I.R. (Artist In Residency) is nobody less than Alessio.

Alessio is known for working within the vibrant club scene under the name of Solo Artists for several years now. He has been creating digital artworks and brand designs for artists and events such as Benny Rodrigues, Juan Atkins, Universal Music, Rotterdam Rave and Club BASIS to name a few.

As he shares the backstory of the concept himself:

The club scene has been at a standstill for almost a year now. And while many of us are going through some rough patches, the scene remains hopeful. Negative energy doesn’t take control of us. Knowing that we will be dancing with each other, bumping into people we don’t know and losing ourselves in the night again keeps us going. We are gently pleading.

onder het mom van je moet toch wat in deze gekke tijden ben ik sinds een paar weken mezelf aan het uitdagen door muziek te maken met alleen maar (analoge) hardware en zonder computers en eerlijk ik vind dit zo tof dat ik eigenlijk nooit meer anders wil en dus ben ik een nieuw project begonnen genaamd ROD20 (als in 2020 maar ook 2.0) waarmee ik per track maar 1 synthesizer en 1 drummachine gebruik en ga jammen en opnemen zonder computer of andere edit-mogelijkheden heel primitief en persoonlijk en volgende week vrijdag komt de 1e release van dit nieuwe project uit op mn ROD Bandcamp page https://rodmalmok.bandcamp.com/album/new-beginnings-ep en je kunt alvast de previews op mn soundcloud checken https://soundcloud.com/rodmalmok/rod20-new-beginnings-ep het kekke logootje is gemaakt door Solo Artists (Alessio Emmer) en voor de rest heb ik eigenlijk niet veel meer te melden nieuwe tijden vragen om nieuwe avonturen en uitdagingen ik ben heel erg geinspireerd in ieder geval
