Een prijzenregen op het Gala van het Nederlands Theater afgelopen zondag, mét Gouden Krekel! ⭐️
Deze prestigieuze prijs voor de meest indrukwekkende jeugdtheaterproductie werd uitgereikt aan DONNIE, de voorstelling die De Nationale Opera vorig jaar samen met Poldertheater creëerde. We zijn heel trots op deze erkenning en op de fantastische spelers en makers!
Directeur Loes van der Staak van Poldertheater prees De Nationale Opera voor de inzet van middelen, kennis en kunde bij dit bijzondere project en sloot haar speech af met een mooie, waardevolle oproep aan andere grote gezelschappen: “Zie je een kleine instelling waar je in gelooft, die een doelgroep bereikt die jij niet bereikt, die een taal spreekt die jij niet spreekt: investeer, geef ruimte, deel je kennis en je kunde, met elkaar en vind vervolgens samen een nieuwe theatertaal.”

Daarnaast ontving Nina Spijkers, die in maart bij ons Hedda Gabler zal regisseren, de Erik-Vos-prijs, voor ‘een regisseur in de midcareerfase die zich onderscheidt door een eigen artistieke signatuur, visie, lef en vakmanschap’. En Mart van Berckel, die volgend seizoen opnieuw een werk bij ons zal maken, won de Muziektheaterprijs, een award die dit jaar voor het eerst werd uitgereikt. . . . . .

This prestigious award for the most impressive youth theatre production went to DONNIE, the production Dutch National Opera created together with Poldertheater last year. We are incredibly proud of this recognition and of the fantastic performers and creatives who brought the production to life!
Poldertheater director Loes van der Staak praised Dutch National Opera for contributing its resources, knowledge and expertise to this special project. She ended her speech with a powerful and important message to other large companies: “If you see a small organisation you believe in, one that reaches an audience you don’t reach and speaks a language you don’t speak: invest, make space, share your knowledge and expertise, and together find a new theatrical language.”

Nina Spijkers, who will direct Hedda Gabler with us in March, also received the Erik Vos Prize, which honours “a mid-career director who stands out for their distinctive artistic signature, vision, courage and craftsmanship”. And Mart van Berckel, who will return to create another work with us next season, won the Music Theatre Prize, a new award presented for the first time this year.
