Real creativity simply cannot be contained. For some, being able to perform is vital. But what if the world around you prevents you from doing so?
Silbersee presents the short film House of Spr!tzl, an imagination of that nightmare of locked down creative energies come true. A fever dream in which a group of passionate performers are trapped together in a museum filled with ghosts from the past. When the portraits on the walls become their new spectators, their creative drive springs back to life.
This film was made in response to the Covid-19 situation. Where we’d usually present the creators of our Spr!tzl trajectory—a program in which Silbersee scouts and guides young talents—and the talents from our R&D division ‘Vrijplaats’ physically at Spr!tzl Festival, we now present them here. This season’s Spr!tzl talents are composer, producer of musical theatre, musician and actor Jerzy Bielski; King Sisters, a trio of sisters that combine all of their professional backgrounds in theatre, music, performative and visual art, and percussionist and theatre maker Yung-Tuan Ku. House of Spr!tzl was created to give these innovators a stage, when those were still closed or only open for a limited public. Please enjoy House of Spr!tzl - a short film of fevered talents @ Silbersee and accept the makers’ warm invitation to follow them in the future! To read more, go to www.spritzl.com
