The future of art involves artificial intelligence. Learn how to collaborate with algorithms: Waag will organize two crash courses you can choose from as part of Expedition: future.
Abnormal Automation: a Speculative Workshop (Monday September 27, 10.00 - 16.30. De Waag, Amsterdam)
▶Conceptualising new artistic interventions in AI: designer, researcher, educator and media activist Mushon Zer-Aviv will share his knowledge and know-how that will help you develop existing creative ideas, and also spark some new ones. The workshop will open with a set of provocations, including references from art, design, science and philosophy. Participants will experiment with methods for creating scenario narratives, and learn to anticipate friction as an opportunity for conceptualising new artistic interventions in AI.
Workshop: AI as an artistic tool. (Tuesday September 28, 10.00 - 16.30. De Waag, Amsterdam)
▶Awarded artist Špela Petrič will present her work, along with Machine Vision-specialist Tim Oblak and Neural Networks-expert Benjamin Fele. They will act as guides to help creatives use AI as a creative tool by addressing the common uses, pitfalls, and possibilities. Here you can learn more about the possibilities for using AI in creative endeavors, and also get feedback on your own concepts from the experts.
