“If you see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand.”
Riccardo Ginaldi is an Italian Artist who likes to describe himself as an “old school painter”.
Despite to this, he has approached Art for the first time in his life only 4 years ago, without having ever drawn or studied it. Completely self-taught, he developed his own style, discovering colors and techniques in the most natural way possible, as kids do.
“I did not choose to become an artist, art choose to save my life, I can’t explain, I woke up a day and I was a painter.”
He decided very quickly to follow this path, and since 2 years he’s making his art in Amsterdam.
“As soon as I started I was kidnapped by art and I decided to go to Amsterdam to follow my dream.
I suddenly found an art gallery/studio that gave me chance and the space to work there, beside artists from all over the world. I’ve spent one year there, in which I had the opportunity to compare my ideas and works with other artists who were often more expert than me; this allowed me to improve my skills and grow up as painter.”
Now is working on his first collection, which is something very intimate, taken directly from his mind and brought back to canvas.
