This is Nikke,
Nikke previously exhibited at the GO Gallery four years ago with a beautiful and meaningful solo exhibition.
Later this year, a major solo exhibition of his work will be on display at the Ambassade Art Gallery, part of the Ambassade Hotel.
For this collection, Nikke drew inspiration from Lotti van der Gaag, one of the most famous Dutch Cobra sculptors.
In the meantime, Nikke has painted a number of new works.
The Ambassade Art Gallery is open every day from 12 to 6.

Exactly 100 years ago today, Norma Jeane Mortenson was born in Los Angeles. Norma Jeane would later become world-famous as Marilyn Monroe.

During the 1950s and early 1960s, she became one of the most famous s*x symbols of all time. She was also a singer and actress, starring in films such as Some Like It Hot and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, featuring the iconic song Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend, which helped cement her legendary status.

Her “dumb blonde” image was a carefully crafted role created by the film industry. In reality, she was highly intelligent and had a deep passion for literature and art.

Marilyn is one of the most portrayed women in history. Thanks to her iconic status in popular culture, she has become a muse for many artists, including The London Police, Steve Kaufman, and Sam Shaw, who captured the famous photograph of her billowing white dress from The Seven Year Itch.

Did you know that Steve Kaufman created the Marilyn image that later gained even greater fame through the work of Andy Warhol? This one is in our private collection…
