On March 13, KIP Republic, in collaboration with the Nationaal Slavernij museum, gathered a circle of minds at
We called the evening “The Power in the Room.”
With philosopher and Presidential Professor Paul C. Taylor as our special guest, the gathering became something more than a conversation. It became a bridge. Between institutions. Between disciplines. Between memory and imagination.
In the room were creatives, critical thinkers, academics, intellectuals, activists, and, most importantly, memory workers. People committed to tending the past so that the future can breathe differently.
Professor Taylor’s words moved through the room like a current. Not as answers, but as an invitation. A provocation.
What’s next? That question stayed with us. It still does.
It was an honor to convene this circle, and a true privilege to do so alongside the museum. Deep gratitude to our board, .biekman , and of course Professor Taylor for your brilliance and generosity. And special thanks to chef for welcoming us so graciously. The food was nothing short of epic, but the real nourishment was the exchange in the room.
