On March 13, KIP Republic, in collaboration with the Nationaal Slavernij museum, gathered a circle of minds at
We called the evening “The Power in the Room.”

With philosopher and Presidential Professor Paul C. Taylor as our special guest, the gathering became something more than a conversation. It became a bridge. Between institutions. Between disciplines. Between memory and imagination.

In the room were creatives, critical thinkers, academics, intellectuals, activists, and, most importantly, memory workers. People committed to tending the past so that the future can breathe differently.
Professor Taylor’s words moved through the room like a current. Not as answers, but as an invitation. A provocation.
What’s next? That question stayed with us. It still does.
It was an honor to convene this circle, and a true privilege to do so alongside the museum. Deep gratitude to our board, .biekman , and of course Professor Taylor for your brilliance and generosity. And special thanks to chef for welcoming us so graciously. The food was nothing short of epic, but the real nourishment was the exchange in the room.

The power in the room @ the table with
Professor Taylor

This week, KIP Republic is proud to launch our partnership with Creative Community. A long-awaited collaboration to build bridges, amplify Black voices, and create tangible opportunities for the African diaspora creative and artistic community.

We’re kicking off this saturday march 14th with “Finding Hope in Art”, a collaboration that fuses philosophy and photography to challenge how we see, think, and act in the world.
Featuring Professor Paul C. Taylor, Presidential Professor of Philosophy at UCLA, and , Amsterdam-based photographer. We invite you to a conversation (including snacks) to explore the ways artists interpret and respond to the world and how art can inspire change. ✊🏾

At the end of 2025, we received the news that our Dance production Corpus Criolla by has been selected out of 1200 theater productions, for the Theater Collection Selection(TCS) of the being included in this archive is especially significant as the dedicated archival description accompanying the work, ensures that our work is not only preserved but also properly contextualised, searchable, and accessible for researchers.

Within the Theatre collection, Corpus Criolla holds a unique position as a contemporary Curaçaoan and Afro-Caribbean Choreographic work, a perspective that remains underrepresented in institutional archives.

What an accomplishment for Faizah, our team and our company! It truly is the recognition of artistic power, of our cultural relevance, and the lasting value of our work.
