HAKHOUT HAKHOUT is love for wood and geometry. It is chopped wood in straight objects. It is the power of the ax and the precision of the tape-measure. It is a battle.

It is chaos and order. Chop or be chopped! The wood is taken from a forest in the north east of the Netherlands. Arne cuts trees to preserve the forest. He takes the wood to Amsterdam, kills the beetles in a freezer and creates objects in his studio.
