Mutima -Soul A place where Wajipha Chongwe sells all her products. Wajipha Chongwe is a multidisciplinary artist focusing on patterns, texture, and movement.

She is heavily inspired by her culture, surroundings, and her experiences thus far. As a biracial woman, and a mother, she is constantly redefining labels and parameters placed upon her by society. Her works heavily feature images of spirals and dots, symbolic of the interconnection between time, and the motion of existence. She is inspired by the physicality of life; the energy of dance, the vibr

ation of sound, the whispering of frequencies, and the simplicity and complexity of the flow of life. Not only is Wajipha a true artist, she is a Counselor, Life Coach, Energy Healer, Medium, Clairvoyant, Tarot Card Reader, Pattern Reader and true believer in the evolution of consciousness. She is currently back a school refreshing her Coaching Skills to help the next generation move forward in their self-actualizing process.

I'm really proud of this silk collection. I remember many years ago when I did a course in textiles at the old Fremantle prison, I hoped to one day produce fabric like this.
Little did I know that I had to go through life's experiences to be able to paint like this and by creating paintings like this that would give me the depth of texture that I was looking for. And then that would be transposed onto/ into fabric. This kind of technology didn't even existe then!
There is always a story...❤️

When I'm choosing what to design or a style of dress to use with my fabrics I will typically design something that works within my body type.
I have now got some different styles that would suit a different body type to my own. I'm not the best model for these styles. But I hope they give you an idea as I would like to cater for more people.
I do have alot more stock to choose from so I really do suggest coming over to my place and playing dress ups! You'll be amazed with what you find!
