When we plant a rose seed in the earth, we notice that it is small, but we do not criticise it as "rootless and stemless." We treat it as a seed, giving it the water and nourishment required of a seed. When it first shoots up out of the earth, we don't condemn it as immature and underdeveloped; nor do we criticize the buds for not being open when they appear. ‘ H E L O V E S M E ‘ (2/4)

Most of my life I spent looking for love in all the wrong places (or: princes).
When I embarked on this ‘follow your own path’-journey the first thing I found out was: that there ain’t such a thing as ‘my path’. It doesn’t exist. You have to walk it into existence yourself, step by step.

I also learned that when most people disapprove of you ‘changing lanes’, you know you’re on the right track! For most people do what most people do: they stay the same all their lives.

Probably the most important thing I learned, is to ask myself 1 question before acting upon a decision: ‘What would love do? Or: (for the sake of variation) ‘What would somebody who loves herself do?’

Ps. Even (or especially?) is you have no desire to go your own way whatsoever, this question will provide you with the best advice possible.
