✨ Magic was in the air at the Amsterdam Magic Society! ✨

Our gathering on 9 March was one for the books, filled with wonder, milestone moments, and incredible performances. From fresh talent to seasoned pros, the energy was electric.

🎩 The Highlights
The evening featured an amazing lineup for the AMS Showcase. A huge shoutout to our performers who kept us on the edge of our seats:

📜 The Apprentice Exam
A massive congratulations to Jonathan! Not only did he grace the stage with a performance, but he also successfully undertook his Apprentice Exam. The dedication to the craft was clear to see—well done, Jonathan! 👌🏽🪄

🏆 The Buzzy Awards
History was made as we hosted the very first of the Buzzy Awards Ceremony! 🐝 It was an honor to celebrate the hard work and creativity within our community.

We were also treated to fascinating talks from Jose and Rico, who shared their wisdom and passion for the art of deception.

🏆Congratulations to all of you!!!

🐝 Last Monday we held our first Buzzys, the award show of the Amsterdam Magic Society. Hosted by Evan Kastor, the Buzzys are to celebrate the members who delivered fantastic content to its members, to relive the content, and to inspire others to share their passion with the Society members.

✨ What an AMS night! ✨
The March 2nd society night was one to remember. Having our Honorary Members Michael Vincent and Flip in the room gave the evening an extra layer of magic — truly special.

The first half kicked off with Jeffrey sharing insights from his walk-around coin routine. After the break, the night transformed into a vibrant parade of styles:

Barry set the tone with a sharp card routine, followed by Michael’s beautiful Triumph and an elegant handkerchief-to-card revelation. Marjolein explored thoughtful tarot-based mentalism, Killian delivered clean card magic, Flip surprised everyone with a rope routine, Douwe blended mental effects with cards, and John closed the night with classic Houdini silks.

🎩January 31st is the Day of the Magician.

🙏 Today we honor St. John Bosco, patron saint of magicians and entertainers. He used simple tricks and wonder to connect with young people and bring joy where it was needed most.

🔗 A reminder that magic is more than tricks — it’s about connection, surprise, and inspiration.
