I've been waiting to share this project!

This was one of our final projects of the year, and I'm still blown away by what these students created.

Using one image of their choice, they explored Realism, Pointillism, Cubism, and Pop Art, learning art history while building technique, confidence, and their own creative voice.

In a world full of screens, watching young artists slow down, create with their hands, and surprise themselves is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. So proud of these amazing artists. ❤️

🌵 These cactus paintings by our 6–9 year old artists turned out beautifully! We worked in stages, learning about shape, form, colour blending, and texture before adding bold outlines and details. Every cactus has its own personality, and we're so proud of the results. 🎨✨

Thank you for such a fun and creative lesson 🎨✨ I loved experimenting with patterns, textures, and color to bring these animals to life. Definitely one of those projects that reminds me how fun art can be when you just let yourself create freely 🐾💫

Our textural bunnies 🐰 for spring turned out soooo cute. Thank you for the idea. We used the rabbit line project as an example but we did it on black paper with white colored pencils and added paint marker details.

In class we practice real art skills—like one-point perspective—but I also want every student to feel free to express where they come from and what inspires them.

Sometimes that means drawing a “starry night” from their country, their city, or just their imagination. Every piece ends up different, and that’s the best part. I did one point perspective with one class, and with the other, it was just starry night theme, and pick your city.

My goal is to teach the skills that help them grow while respecting each student’s story and creativity. It was inspiring to see where the students took this narrative and how they expressed themselves.

Wonderful Delft tile workshop today with people from all over the world.

On a dreary day, it felt good to focus on something small—lines, blue colors, and design. For a few hours, it was a nice break from all the noise and turmoil in the world.

Beautiful people, a creative distraction, and a reminder that making things with your hands is sometimes exactly what you need.
