Julya Karma
Julya Karma was born into music and immersed in middle eastern and classical stylings from an early age. Her affinity for music was instantaneous and she began playing the piano at the age of just six. With influences that span both generations and genres, Julya has been heavily involved in music at every stage of her life and began producing electronically at the age of 24. An obsessive curator, Julya finds mixing to be the perfect format for creating an inimitable atmosphere with a combination of eclectic sounds and stimulating progressions.
Julya (short for Juliana) is of Lebanese descent, fueling her love for organic sounds and exotic instruments. As a self-taught producer and dj, she has had the opportunity to share her music around the world including live performances in San Francisco, New York, and Tulum, at The Armory Club, Public Works, Gospรซl, Amaya, The Williamsburg Hotel, SoHo House, Azulik, Casa Pueblo, and more.
Currently based in New York City, Julya is excited to continue building connection and community through music.
