Nadie Borggreve (1991, Amsterdam) creates tufted landscapes in which nature and imagination merge. Her work grows from an intuitive process of collecting, unraveling and re-dyeing discarded textiles and worn garments, materials that carry traces of previous lives and become part of an ongoing cycle of transformation. Through her distinctive hand dyeing processes wool gains an intense, almost luminous quality. Forests, night skies and reflections on water appear as fragmented landscapes shaped by perception and memory, resembling stained glass where wool seems to capture light and open into deep, immersive spaces.

๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ถ๐๐ต?What I struggle with is also what I love most: that my practice is spread across so many different media. From fashion design to knitting, airbrush, various dyeing and painting techniques, tufting and oil painting. Sometimes I have to hold myself back from adding even more, and sometimes I worry itโs unclear what Iโm actually working on. But itโs also endless: I never have enough time and could go on forever. And in the end everything is connected, and it usually finds its place.
