Gigi van Grevenbroek is a Dutch-Indo illustrator and designer. She creates her own paper goodies, all made from recycled paper in The Netherlands.

Her inspiration comes from her Indonesian roots, nature and animals. That she transforms in colorful work.

🐑 A new illustration in town 🐑

Once made in 2017, and now I created the remake 9 years later 🤗

I think this is a big difference, and still colorful and unique!

This illustration will be turned into new paper goodies soon! And ofcourse printed on recycled paper here in The Netherlands 🌿

Are you a cat person? 🐈

I live in Utrecht, where I see so many cats!
It feels like every street has at least one kitty: I see them walking on the sidewalk, chilling from a windowsill, lurking for some cuddles or on an adventure in the gardens. 🌿

Last year, I learned that more households in the Netherlands have cats than dogs. I discovered this while chatting with the market vendor next to me... who happened to sell dog food! I honestly expected it to be the other way around. 🤣

My family and friends are surrounded by cats too: Els, Piep, Mia, Beignet, Pippa, Bob, Appel and Peertje. And then there are all the photos of Greek street cats my friends send me while they're on holiday. 📸

Every cat has its own personality, funny habits, and little quirks. I love meeting them (when they decide they're in the mood for cuddles). Cats always make me smile—even watching cat videos makes me happy.🥰

As an illustrator, I simply couldn't leave all these cat stories untold. Over the past few years, more and more cats have found their way into my illustrations, and some have even become postcards, bookmarks and stickers in my paper goodies collection. 🎊

My dream is to fill an entire postcard rack with cat illustrations—each one telling the story of a different cat. 📨

P.S. If you have a cat with a funny face, a unique personality, or an adorable habit, I'd love to see a photo! They might inspire a future illustration 🐱

Starting this weekend, I'll be taking a one-week holiday!
That means it's time for a little rest and a short break from my creative business. ☀️

You can still browse my webshop and place your orders as usual. Any orders placed during my holiday will be shipped from July 26 onwards 🎁

This month (July 2026) I don't have any markets or events planned, so my focus is shifting to a few other exciting projects for my creative business:

🌿 Creating new content for my paper goodies. (I always try to take product photos when the sun is shining—the natural light makes such a difference!)
📦 Getting ready for a busy August. From next month onwards, I'll be back at markets and events almost every weekend, selling my illustrated stationery.
⛵ Taking a week off for a holiday on a boat here in the Netherlands.
🏡 Looking for new collaborations with shops, concept stores and other retailers where my collection would feel at home. If you know a lovely shop that might be a good fit, please let me know by dm!
✏️ And hopefully, I'll also find some time to work on new illustrations. Honestly, that's sometimes the hardest part when I’m running a creative business!
