The second edition of our residency trajectory 'F**k around and find out', is here!

Apply for a two-week residency program organised by Mime fabriek and Boogiebos.
We want to provoke a collaboration between two artists that inspire and challenge each other’s practices into common research. This residency focuses on the idea you can’t shake, not your masterpiece, but the one that keeps whispering. We aren't after finished masterpieces, but rather want to stimulate a curious, soft and provocative meeting.

This open call is inviting mimers/physical theatre/dance performers and makers who are looking to share their ideas and guide someone into their artistic questions.

This experiment is offered to two types of participants:

*Those with a clear idea to explore
*Those ready to dive into someone else’s process

The residency will take place in two locations:
20-24th July 2026: you’ll be working in Boogiebos. Where you receive a studio, to work and co-habitate in the forest in Belgium.

27-31st July 2026: you’ll be working in Amsterdam, where the studio of Mime fabriek is available for working towards a presentation of your findings

2nd of August 2026: presentations will be held in Mime fabriek.

We take freedom to match two artists based on the application, whilst making sure there is time to connect before the two-week residency begins. Boogiebos and Mime fabriek are led by independent artists [we are not production houses] and this is our attempt for teasing and creating a playful platform for artistic exchange. We offer you a space and an artistic match, there is no fee available, but we will make sure to take good care of you.

After a beautiful and active month in our studio we are glad to share the program for November in Mime fabriek!

We start the month with a new proposal: "Cozy Sunday", a whole day program to rest and come together (check the previous post for more info)

The week after, in the afternoon of Snday 16th, we'll open our doors to a discussion on workers' rights for everyone interested in knowing more about what they can ask from the theatre field qua legal rights

We end the month with two movement sessions from and two events!

In this workshop I would like to share some tasks and thoughts behind my last solo work Estoy aquí para atenderte. The work explores the body as a vessel-channeling emotions, memories, and images.
During the workshop, we will play with the relation between recognition and disorientation, how to be in between this states and let ourselves be guided by randomness and accumulation.
No previous experience needed, just curiosity

is a performer, dancer, and contemporary dance creator. Trained in Uruguay, the Netherlands, and Spain, she develops her work between Europe and Uruguay. She has participated in international productions and established herself as a choreographer in various European creation centers. She made her debut as a lead actress in A Bright Future.

18th and 19th of October we are happy to facilitate two days with Marcelo Evelin:
Choreographic Substances

A practical and theoretical encounter with choreographer , where he shares some of his training tools, performance practices, and procedures used in the processes and creations of .
We will move, sing, talk, touch and being touched, working together rather than individually, opening the senses to experiment the others as part of ourselves.

Marcelo Evelin is a dancer, choreographer and researcher. He lives between Teresina and Amsterdam and works in Brazil, Japan and several European countries as an independent artist at the head of the Demolition Incorporada Platform, based at CAMPO, a space for Residence and Resistance in the Performing Arts in Teresina, Piaui. His shows ‘De Repente F**a Tudo Preto de Gente’, ‘Batucada’ and ‘A Invenção da Maldade’ are currently touring theatres and festivals around the world. He has been teaching at the Amsterdam School of Arts since 1999 and creates projects at universities and masterclasses, including ISAC (Brussels), Reina Sofia Museum (Madrid), EXERCE (Montpellier) and CND (Paris). In 2019 he was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the Federal University of Piauí. In 2020 he created ‘And Yes, I sad Yes, I will Yes’ for Coroline Eckly/Compania Carte Blanche (Bergen, Norway), ‘Drama’ for La Manufacture (Lausanne, Switzerland), ‘La Nuit Tombe Quand Elle Veut’ (Rennes, France) in collaboration with Latifa Laabissi, and re-presented his solo ‘ai, ai, ai’ (1995) at the Festival d’Automne in Paris. In 2022 he recreated the performance event BARRICADA for the Transborda Festival (Almada, Portugal) and premiered UIRAPURU, the latest creation by Plataforma Demolition Incorporada.

Red and blue movement practice next week Tuesday at 7 pm!

In these two hours I offer a space where to explore movement with music mixes made for the occasion which guide and contrast the flow of each mover.
The focus is on the relation between movement and imagination, flirting with the concept of an embodied daydreaming.
This practice desires to allow a personal and intimate engagement of each participant with their own body and way of moving, while sharing the space with others.

Rita Bifulco is a performance and sound artist based in Amsterdam. She completed her bachelor's in Mime at AHK, where she also serves as student advisor and teacher. In 2020, she co-founded “Mime fabriek,” a platform for the mime and performance community, organizing residencies and workshops.
Since 2024 she is an associated artist with SoAP Maastricht.
Rita's performative practice explores absence, blending personal memories and mythological elements through movement, sound, and textiles.

This Friday at 20 'helenæ' will be sharing parts of their process of the past two weeks with researching the figure of the goblin.

A sentence that has become integral is 'The goblin offers you a crossroad where you thought there was only one way' and so they have been working through text, video and embodied transformations, all of which will be part of the sharing.

The programmed part of the evening will be approximately 40 minutes including time for conversation about the research, after which we can still linger in the landscape taken over by goblins.
