Hi dear Rocketshippers,
They say life comes with ups and downs.
As some of you might have heard, after the amazing event we had with you all on Saturday (thank you all for being there) we also got some bad news the next morning.
Our beloved HQ at Van der Madeweg 18 where with many of you for the past 18 months we have filmed, painted, danced, jammed, created, destroyed, laughed and cried will have to close per Juli 1st as the land is sold and the building will be demolished (it seems like Amsterdam really likes to demolish creative spaces in Juli huh).
Now we always knew it was temporary and the adventure already lasted about a year longer than originally expected and brought us so much more than we originally could have dreamt of.
This won’t be the end of the Rocketship or even of HQ though!
We will just build a BIGGER BETTER VERSION, (with blackjack and hookers!) but as long as we have not signed a contract for another location we need your help in the search for a suitable location, a location just for storing all of the materials is also something we are looking into but we of course prefer to keep flying this Rocketship.
What we are also looking for in this moment is other creatives who want to be a part of this bigger spaceship and rent out a larger creative space with us as this will make the search a lot easier for all of us (we actually already have multiple options for larger spaces but we simply can’t afford those on our own).
Of course any donations in terms of money (through this link: https://bunq.me/rocketshiphq), help or advice are greatly appreciated and welcome due the high costs of renting, moving and making the new space useable and comfortable.
That being said, we will still be having our regular meetups so if you haven’t been (in a while) you only have 1 more month to do so.
And we might also just have an amazing closing party.
We will keep you guys posted as we go through this rollercoaster.
