In Memoriam – Bapak Eddy
It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the passing of Bapak Eddy, a cherished member of Balai Budaya Minomartani (BBM) in Yogyakarta.
BBM has been a valued partner of Stichting Gema Rasa, and in 2024 we had the privilege of visiting Minomartani for a meaningful exchange of Javanese performing arts — an experience made all the richer by Bapak Eddy's presence and the warm welcome of the BBM community. We were honored to perform alongside them and share in this beautiful cultural connection.
His dedication to preserving and sharing Javanese culture leaves a lasting legacy that continues to inspire us.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and the entire BBM community during this difficult time.
