The Phileas Fogg Theatre Company was started over 20 years ago, and has since become an integral part of the Dutch education system. We are proud to have made a well-earned name for ourselves within English departments and the bilingual education system across the Netherlands. We specialise in TIE (Theatre In Education) with a specific emphasis on English as a foreign language, and a firm belief i

n Learning through Doing. Native English-speaking actors perform and run the company. We understand that to build students’ confidence in using a second language, they have to experience it actively. Many theatre companies offer a wonderful performance - but if ALL you want is a wonderful performance, a DVD can offer just that, and will save you a fortune. At the Nuffic Conference on the 25th of March, a teacher from the south of the Netherlands, won a magnificent grand prize in the raffle!

A breathtaking hot air balloon trip, compliments of Phileas Fogg ✨

Under beautiful sunshine on the 24th of May, they ascended into the skies for an unforgettable experience and stunning views for miles around 🍃🌍

‘TTO students from VWO-4 stepped back in time for a while. Together with the English theatre company Phileas Fogg Theatre Company they immersed themselves in the world of War Poetry.

Not just from a book, but by experiencing it themselves. For example, by taking on the role of a soldier or nurse, students felt what it was like to live during the time of the First World War.

Impressive, educational, and unfortunately still very relevant in our time.’

This month we had the pleasure of visiting Varendonck College in Asten for performances of our popular Little Victorians evening shows 🎭
