I keep and reuse everything from cardbosrd boxes to failed prints and art pieces. For the backing of these gelli prints I reused sturdy mail enveloppes and cut up packaging.
Would you like to have a look at these prints? They can be admired closely at the Opes Studios at on 29th of June. You’re welcome to come by and have a chat with me and lots of other artists.

I’ve been werking on this piece today, trying to get it to completion for a big group show at the end of August. She needs just a few tweeks before I call her finished and I like where it’s going. The drop shadow made a big improvement.

Messy May - Day 12 Terrain.
I had fun making this abstract landscape. I made it fairly quickly as to prevent overthinking and it has lots of layering and mark making. The alien aspect was a bit lost in me, but I like the doomy atmosphere of the spread.

Hi, I’m back in the studio today and I was preparing the set-up for my next workshop Collage á la Matisse, which will take place on Friday 22 May.
I also continued on my big paiting: tidying up the rough edges, because I don’t like these.
All in all I’ve enjoyed my day very much. How about you?

Are you like me and you have a pile of wrapping papers? I wanten to use up soms these beautiful papers and made teo collages in my sketchbook. A piece of double sided wrapping paper was used in the foreground (table), the vases are shapes from discarded gelli prints and the flowers come from a different piece of wrapping paper.
I love them!

A bit of collage fodder: I diluted two almost dried up bottles of high flow acrylics onto wetted wet strength tissue paper and let it dry. When almost dry I tipped the sheet a bit so that the puddles started dripping.
A perfect solution snd I’m not wasting any paint. Did you try this and if so what was the result?
