Free Palestine 🍉🇵🇸
Mi última pieza es una interpretación naíf del clásico motivo de la "lucha del bien contra el mal". Aquí, un ángel con la bandera de Palestina empuña su lanza contra la serpiente de la opresión.
Las sandías a sus pies no son solo fruta; son símbolos de resistencia, identidad y unidad. Una visión de esperanza y liberación. Desde Nicaragua, envío toda mi solidaridad al pueblo palestino a través de mi pintura.

Pieza terminada: Inmaculada Concepción. 🌑✨
En esta pintura, me interesaba rescatar la iconografía clásica pero llevándola a un lenguaje más gráfico y texturizado. El proceso se centró en la tensión del color: hacer que el azul cobalto del manto estrellado vibrara frente a los tonos ocres y dorados del fondo. Detallar la geometría del halo y la luna creciente fue un ejercicio estricto de pulso y capas, buscando construir un equilibrio visual sólido más allá del simbolismo tradicional.

With this painting, I wanted to take classic iconography and translate it into a more graphic, highly textured language. The process was driven by color tension: making the cobalt blue of the starry mantle vibrate against the ochre and gold background. Detailing the geometry of the halo and the crescent moon was a strict exercise in steady hands and layering, aiming to build a solid visual balance beyond traditional symbolism.

Spent the past week working on this iconography of the Mater Dolorosa. I really enjoyed diving into the technical process of this piece—especially building up the layered textures and working with the rich contrast between the deep crimson, the serene blues, and the gold leaf background.
Capturing the traditional elements, like the seven swords, while balancing the expression of sorrow with a sense of underlying strength and serenity, was a rewarding creative challenge. It’s always a great experience to get lost in the details and the color work of a painting like this.
