WHY YOUR PASSION IS YOUR ENEMYππ
For those who have been close to me in my journey as an artist, it is known that I seldom paint "Landscapes" with brushes alone, without using my painting knife.
In fact, most of my paintings are done using the KNIFE TECHNIQUE and most of the times, I would feel unsatisfied if I didn't paint with a knife.
This passion, as I have realized, limited me to an extent that if there'd be no knife stroke in my landscape paintings, I'd rather not paint.
Here's my message: YOUR PASSION CAN BE YOUR GREATEST ENEMY.
What truly gives you success is not what you love doing the most. It is rather the creative steps you take even with the things you are not passionate about, the materials you're short of and the limited space you may have right now.
Sticking only to your passion, limits you from exploration and expression. You end up not taking steps that can change your life, because you believe in the context of "IT'S NOT MY KIND OF THING".
Here's what a wise man would rather do: Explore your passion, explore around your passion, leverage on external opportunities.
Be creative with your assignment, and in the place of your assignment.
