ABOUT ME!

Writing is therapy. Writing about myself? That's a complete healing for me!

My name is Esther Solomon Jackson, a young Nigerian woman born into a family of five from the Southern part of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State.

I was blessed with a wonderful childhood and teenage years, guided by parents who instilled strong moral values. You could say I was groomed by the best.

I’m currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, and I’m in my finals.

ACADEMIC JOURNEY

As the saying goes, “Life is not a bed of roses.” Growing up under the warm and protective arms of my parents made things a lot easier, but now here we are—adulthood!

I see adulthood as a completely different world, one I’m still learning to navigate. But despite its challenges, it's an amazing journey that I would love to explore the more.

I began as a passionate and committed art student, fueled by a burning desire to become a lawyer. I took the JAMB exam three times but couldn’t secure admission to study law. Not one to give up easily, I enrolled in a diploma program in law, but the path still didn’t lead where I had hoped.

Finally, I decided to pursue something that I genuinely enjoyed—Communication Arts. I’ve always loved public speaking, presentations, debates, and writing, and it turned out that Communication Arts was exactly where I was meant to be.

WHY FACEBOOK

My desire to write has been there since high school days, and it just keeps growing. Looking back, I remember writing short stories that never got published. I would dance around the house every time I completed a story or when my drama script was used in school or church.

I am inspired to start documenting my journey here in order to grow and establish meaning relationships with the large audience present here. I am also excited to contribute my voice to the world through writing 😄

IN CONCLUSION

Life is worth living! It may not be easy at first, but with hard work, determination and prayers, you will pull through.

I invite you to follow my journey. Let’s make the world a better place together.

MY JOURNEY AS A WRITER

ABOUT ME AS A WRITER
I'm Elizabeth Umosen, a passionate writer with a love for content creation. Although writing wasn't always a part of my life. I have fond memories of wanting to keep a diary as a young girl. Life got busy and my diary fell by the wayside, but my love for writing never faded.

WHEN I STARTED WRITING
I started writing seriously when I moved to Lagos 2018. Being far from home and family, I turned to my diary to express my feelings. Although I stopped for a while, I rediscovered my passion for writing when I became a teacher in 2019. Teaching involves a lot of writing, and that's when I realized I was good at it.

STRENGTHS AND FEARS
My strength as a writer is my determination to turn my ideas into reality. I strive to write in a way that motivates others to take action. However, my fears are struggling with consistency and discipline. I sometimes find it hard to sit down and write, and I worry that my laziness might hold me back.

FUTURE GOALS
By the end of this training, I aim to become a skilled writer who can effortlessly weave words into engaging stories and motivational content. I envision myself waking up each day with a passion for writing, using my skills to inspire others, and eventually becoming a tutor.
Ultimately, I want to leverage my writing to make a positive impact and generate income, contributing meaningfully to society

WHY I CHOOSE TO BE A WRITER.

My Name is Rebecca and I have always seen writing as a more vivid way to communicate to people, most people could talk all day and pass every single information they hold in their heart, But i use writing as an avenue to communicate my emotions, which includes my pain, love, hurt and the questions in my mind.

I Choose to become a writer to be an inspiration to so many people out there, to let them know that writing is therapy, writing is more than just words, it frees you from so many thoughts that cant be spoken, it gives you clarity and understanding of situations and also to pass vital and life changing information to the world through written words.

Our imaginations, thoughts and feelings are best displayed through our writings, and this writings can be brought to life through actions and visual displays , I choose to become a writer to make great imaginations and thinking become reality through acting.
Writing has always being one of my favourite things to do and becoming a writer would give me the opportunity to change lives and help me explore the writers world ❤️. Esther Solomon II

WHO AM I AS A WRITER

Writing is a journey and also an art of expressing one's self and emotions through words. A writer is seen as a communicator and a story teller.

I have always have a passion for writing, but I didn't know how to go about it, and it means to be a good writer. I was scared to put my emotions into words. I will proudly say that this is my first writing piece and I can't wait to write more.

As a first time writer, I will like my strength to be the ability to observe. Observing human emotions and feelings, behaviors and also the world around me. I want to be able to connect with humans on an emotional level.

I have my weakness and fears as a first time writer. I am scared of not being able to make progress with this journey I just began, scared of not being seen and heard. However, I am willing to give writing my best shot, in order to do well at it.

Putting into consideration my fears and what I want my strengths to be, I don't just want to be a writer, but a story teller, a communicator, a problem solver and a curator of emotions. I just started this journey and I am determined, looking forward to and excited to see where this journey takes me.

A storyteller and very intentional writer

My name is Oluwaseyi and I am a pen with a pulse scribbling words, the ink flowing like blood through a vessel, sometimes smooth, sometimes clotted with doubt, but always carrying meaning to the page.📝

(POV: You're a health professional.)

For someone who tends to forget vivid memories from long time ago, I love to keep it alive in ink or a virtual note.

I do not remember the exact moment I started writing but I remember the first time I wrote a story.

It was two years ago after I joined a class for people who were genuinely interested in writing but didn't know how to. I wrote a familiar story but with a plot twist. Familiar and at the same time unconventional.(How I came up with the plot twist in the story is intriguing, I'll tell it later.)

I recently joined a content writing class and would be documenting my journey here.🤗 Wish me luck!

I do understand that no one is perfect but I strive for excellence. I am open to your feedback and what you think about my pieces.

I struggle with consistency hence my public admittance so you can keep me accountable.

At the end of the training, I want to be a disciplined writer that can evoke emotions and actions with her craft. I want to be able to resonate with my audience.

Till I write to you again!🖤

PS: If you want to read the story I wrote, all you have to do is ask.
