Mr Eazi: “It was easier to tour Europe and America than Tour Africa as a singer. Whilst I had the the biggest song (Those who know knows) in Africa, it was harder for me to tour.

And I remember two occasions, one of which I was going into Kenya with my band. Even though I've been paid to perform, I was stopped at the border. And Whilst my band which had other nationalities could go in, I who was paid the most money had to wait at the border.

I remember telling the immigration, 'I've been paid so if you want to send me back home, I'm going to be on the next flight.'

That speaks of the reality of the friction that has been put in place and stoping us from uniting.

In the past four years, I’ve focused in solving challenges as an entrepreneur. My goal has been to reduce friction and pave the way for a borderless Africa. I’ve invested in businesses that are now live in 19 African countries — One of which I am really proud of is a company that is live in 19 African countries and processes 4 million transactions a day." - Mr. Eazi

So he took $100K and a royalty deal instead. It sounded crazy then… but she was right.
