"Dear Governor. RT. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifruru.
I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the incredible work you've been doing for our state. Your dedication, vision, and commitment to improving the lives of citizens are truly commendable.
Thank you for your tireless efforts in driving development, promoting peace, and fostering growth in our state. Your leadership has made a significant impact, and I'm proud to see positive changes unfolding.
Please continue to push forward – we're rooting for you!
While we appreciate him, I would like to use this space to make a humble appeal as a concerned citizen of Ebonyi State. Since the 1990s, if I am not mistaken, Izhi and Ikwo communities have been involved in a recurring communal crisis. At times it subsides, but after a few tenures—depending on the tribe of whoever is in power—it resurfaces. Ikwo and Izhi share a common history.
This particular land dispute has rendered many people from Offerekpe Enyigba homeless. Many have become motherless, fatherless, and have lost siblings and loved ones. Many children from this community do not have access to education, good healthcare, infrastructure, and other social amenities. Likewise, communities in Ikwo are also victims of this ugly situation.
My appeal goes directly to the illustrious and hardworking Governor of our dear state—our most outstanding and understanding Governor. Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru I believe that this Nigerian Army depot project presents an opportunity to finally bring an end to this communal crisis that has lasted for decades. Is only someone who is alive will talk of land to leave or what to do tomorrow, this particular condition is rendering the future of our children useless, because of limited access to something that make life better
Please, my dear Governor, for the sake of the lives that have been lost during this dispute, kindly acquire the disputed land and allocate it for the Nigerian Army depot. It has a very large landmass that will be sufficient for their use. I know many stakeholders from Abakaliki LGA and Ikwo may come after me, but I am making this appeal as a concerned citizen of Ebonyi State who desires unity among our brothers and sisters, irrespective of tribe or clan.
Concerned Ebonyi Youth.
Comr, Favourity Jnr.
