TAILORS, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU 🧵✂️

Some customers have a way of avoiding their balance after collecting their outfit.

Suddenly, you start hearing complaints that were never mentioned during fitting. One issue today, another excuse tomorrow—not necessarily because the outfit is bad, but sometimes because they simply don’t want to pay the outstanding balance.

And when they are ready to make another outfit with you, you bring up the old balance… somehow, the conversation changes. 😂

So how do you protect yourself as a tailor?

✅ Make sure your customer comes for fitting before the final delivery.
✅ Let them inspect the outfit properly and raise any genuine concerns.
✅ Make necessary corrections where needed.
✅ Confirm that the customer is satisfied before handing over the finished outfit.
✅ Most importantly, have a clear payment policy and don’t be afraid to ask for your balance.

Once the customer has fitted the outfit, inspected it, confirmed that everything is okay and accepted it, there shouldn’t be endless excuses about the work afterward.

Tailors, your work is your business. Your balance is also part of your business.

Be professional. Be firm. Document your agreements. And don’t allow unnecessary guilt to make you abandon your right to your hard-earned money.

Fitting is not just for measurements—it is also an opportunity to confirm customer satisfaction before final delivery.

The winner of our “How Many Yards “challenge finally came through, and yesterday was such a beautiful time together. 🤝🏽

We had a really good conversation, shared some laughs, and most importantly, created something special for him.

PLEASE, LET’S BE HONEST WITH OUR TAILORS 🙏🧵
One thing we experience in this business is when a customer comes and says, “Please, I need this outfit urgently. I need it as soon as possible.” You begin to adjust your schedule, rearrange other jobs, and prepare to give their work the attention it deserves.
But the moment you mention payment or ask for a deposit to get started, the customer suddenly disappears! No replies, no calls, no further communication. 😂
Honestly, if the money is not ready yet, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. And if the outfit is not as urgent as you initially thought, that is also fine. Just communicate honestly.
Please don’t put unnecessary pressure on a tailor when you are not ready to proceed with the work. Tailoring requires time, planning, concentration, and energy. When you make your work seem urgent, you make us rearrange our schedules and sometimes inconvenience other customers who are already waiting.
